Voice Drift
Preamble
Voice Drift watches how my writing changes across time: rhythm, sentence shape, density, stance, recurring phrases, abstraction, and the parts of a sentence that still feel like mine.
Style Is The Easy Part
The detector can measure sentence length, punctuation, repeated phrases, hedging, paragraph shape, and directness. Those signals stay close to the text. A shorter sentence, a safer paragraph shape, or a repeated assistant phrase can be inspected without turning style into a diagnosis of the whole person.
The Harder Signal Is Surprise
Voice is more than consistency. A sentence feels alive when it breaks its own pattern in a way that feels inevitable. Model-shaped writing can preserve surface style while making the surprises more generic.
Movement Comes Before Judgment
A voice can become sharper, flatter, calmer, stranger, or more disciplined. The report shows the movement with examples and leaves judgment open until I argue with the evidence.
