Divergence Map

Preamble

Divergence Map records where lenses agree, scatter, and protect different assumptions. Disagreement becomes useful only when the map shows what caused it.

Disagreement Has Different Causes

A scatter of scores can mean the idea is near a creative edge. It can also mean the brief is thin, the idea is confused, the lenses are protecting different assumptions, or the model is performing difference with no stakes.

The map has to separate those cases. Lens-by-lens scores are only the surface. The record names where lenses agree, where they diverge, why they diverge, how confident each lens is, and what evidence would reduce uncertainty.

Frontier Shape

Frontier divergence appears when lenses see value in the payload and disagree about carrier, timing, audience, risk, or proof. The idea has a live center, but the path into the world is unstable.

When lenses disagree about whether the payload matters at all, the council may be seeing an idea that has not yet formed. That can still be useful if the map says so plainly.

Consensus Can Be A Trap

A council collapses disagreement too early when it turns an entropy zone into a single recommendation. The unstable zone may be the place where creative judgment still has work to do.

The branch lands when the divergence matrix explains why disagreement happened and preserves cause, confidence, and remaining uncertainty.
