Memory Packet
Preamble
Memory Packet treats memory as tender material. A remembered phrase can matter deeply and still fail as proof.
Memory Has Texture
Memory arrives as fragments before it arrives as evidence: a phrase, a smell, a room, a repeated gesture, a silence at the table, a trait everyone agrees on, a trait nobody agrees on, a story that may have been repaired by need.
The packet keeps that texture intact. It records remembered phrases, emotional impressions, contradictions, confidence, and gaps before the response can turn memory into voice.
Tender Does Not Mean Certain
A memory can be true in the body and unstable in the record. The packet has to let both facts stand. It should distinguish what was seen, what was heard, what was inherited from someone else’s story, what has been repeated for years, and what the writer only knows by its emotional residue.
This is where the project resists sentimental certainty. The model will prefer a clean memory because clean memory writes better. The packet keeps the blur visible. Event-memory, body-memory, pattern-memory, and repair-memory all carry different permissions.
The Gap Is Part Of The Person
The missing material matters too. The person may be known through a few bright fragments and many blank spaces. Those blanks should shape the response attempt and remain visible.
Memory Packet succeeds when specificity survives without hardening into false fact. It owes the absent person minimum distortion: enough difficulty, contradiction, and resistance to keep them from becoming easier than they were.
